Why Organic?

Food is the main source of our health and vitality – this is our belief and the teaching of Oriental medicine.  More and more research findings and our own experiences suggest that food additives and chemical residues are harming our health.  A carrot grown with chemical fertilisers on ground which is routinely sprayed with weed killers and pesticides may look the same as an organic carrot (which is grown on soil enriched by organic compost, calcified seaweed and vitalised by green manure leys and yearly rotations i.e. taking time for the soil to recover), but the nutrient contents are different and above all, their vitalities are totally different.  We cannot sustain our life with lifeless food.   That’s why we choose to be organic.
